• Trust

“Frail as breath” – frail means weak and delicate, easily damaged or broken. God is saying to us, why do you put your trust and your faith in humans? They are weak, they are delicate, they are broken. Jesus knows we will struggle to TRUST him! It’s ok! He knows! Go to Him with everything! We don’t need to put our trust in anyone; including ourselves! Come to Him and believe He has good plans for your life and your future. With every crooked road we travel and every mountain we climb – He’s is there. We don’t have to fret about tomorrow. When we TRUST in Jesus, He pours…

  • “Offered in Faith”

Over the last four weeks we’ve heard and read about so many people suffering. Suffering and hardships are part of life, but in times like these they can become increasingly worse. We’ve been studying the book of James the last few weeks. Take some time to read this short book. It’s filled with wisdom and truth. James 5:13-15 dives into the power of prayer. A prayer “offered in faith” refers to the faith of the people praying and not to the faith of those who are sick or suffering. What?! Yes, those of us praying each day for others who are suffering is powerful. Please pray!! “Are any of you…

  • Jesus: The Most Powerful & The Servant

What a day to celebrate our Jesus!!! Jesus: The Most Powerful & The Servant Reading the story of Jesus’ death has been overwhelming this Good Friday morning. He obeyed God’s will perfectly and endured the mocking, beating and nailing to the CROSS. He suffered and died so greatly for us. Thank you Jesus! Reflection on Jesus Servanthood: Jesus has ALL the power and ALL the authority in heaven and on earth & He still CHOSE to serve others! Our world now sees power as a way to gain control over others – but not Jesus – He CHOSE to serve others. A few ways He served: He held children in…

  • Read the Bible

You could find several Bibles in my house but they were never read until Christmas. I’d spend hours in Barnes and Noble looking at devotionals and self help books because “I needed something in my life.” As I wake up to this beautiful Good Friday I’m so thankful God put Lisa Williams in my path three years ago. She helped me learn how to start reading my Bible. Matthew was the first book in the Bible I ever read from start to finish. Three years later I’m still reading and often go back to Matthew. Life changing! The Bible can be intimidating if you’ve never read it before. It’s a…

  • WFH

For all of us “work from home” video conferencing like crazy peeps:  I saw this post below and it is so true, we need to learn conference/video call etiquette – our NEW NORM!! During social distancing, it’s important to remember good conference call etiquette: – awkward silence – can you hear me – [weird small talk because  someone is 10 min late] – BEEP BOOP – strange crunch – heavy breath – oops sorry you go ahead – sorry no, you – BOOP beep – bye?

  • Yes, Believe!

Hebrews Chapter 11 is often referred to as the Faith Hall of Fame. It’s a wonderful recap of those in the Bible who had great TRUST in God: Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Noah, Rahab…and the list goes on. As we prepared for the Crazy Faith conference our hearts were led to speak on faith and that faith is believing God is who He says He is and believing He will do what He says he will do. Yes, Believe! When we believe that God will fulfill his promises even though we don’t see those promises materializing yet, we demonstrate true faith. (John 20:24-31) Take time today to read Hebrews Chapter…

  • The Church in Action

One week ago today we had 24 hours before our Crazy Faith conference. It was going to be a full day of preparation, decorating, and to dos. But God had a different plan. Instead, he gave us an opportunity to actually live in Crazy Faith! This week the outpouring of our community to support children and families in need has been life changing. Feeding 5000 started as a way to support children. But God has taken it so much further! Churches are coming together and pooling resources. Restaurants are offering free food. Bibles are being donated. People are spreading the Good News about Jesus to strangers. So many things we…
