• Generosity

When we think of generosity, what comes to mind?  To me, I think of giving someone a material thing.  It is usually money or a gift and will help someone financially or bring them joy.  Today I am blogging about generosity in the workplace.  (Side note, researching and writing this blog has really touched my heart and my hope is it will touch your heart also.) When we go to work everyday we are paid for something we do.  When we receive a bonus check it is because the owners are being generous.  They could keep the money for the business or for themselves, but they choose to give it…

  • Whose Approval?

Whose approval are you seeking? My last few working weeks have been CRAZY! So when I read the words of Paul I just filled in the blank. Heather, whose approval are you seeking? Friends, God meets us where we are…even if our paths get a little crooked. Stay in His word even when things get crazy and you will hear Him! Pray with me today for courage to seek God’s approval above anyone else.

  • Greatest Teacher Ever

Good morning! Happy Monday! THE GREATEST TEACHER EVER! Jesus wants to teach us how to live an incredible life! He is the greatest teacher EVER!! He used stories and metaphors that ordinary people could understand. He kept it simple, but it was not always easy. He was more interested in conversion of your heart rather than external behavior changes. When we hear His words and apply it to our lives, He will create a solid foundation in us that will not crumble. Jesus is radical and IS the greatest teacher ever! Love you all

  • Radical!

RADICAL! What does this mean? It means to get to the “root” of things and belonging to something. Jesus was radical! Thank you God! Through the gospels you will read how Jesus was interested in getting deep down to the “root“ of things. Not fluffy stuff, but the core, the center, the heart of things. Go read one of the gospels with fresh eyes and get ready to be in awe of Jesus! As I read “Rediscover Jesus“ Matthew Kelly tells us that, ”Jesus life and teachings are a RADICAL invitation to something beyond what most of us have settled for in our lives!” Are we settling and concerned what…

  • Who do you say I am?

“Who do you say that I am?” – This is the Jesus question.  Sooner or later we will each be called to answer this question.  What would you say? As we approach the end of 2019 I encourage each of you to ask yourself this question, journal about it, talk about it…..Read the Gospels and get to know Him.  We are so blessed to have the freedom to do this! Prayer: Jesus, teach me to never stop seeking you. Help me to seek you in every relationship, place, and situation. “I came into the world to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.”…

  • Awestruck

It is MONDAY and it is cold outside!! Our hope is you enjoyed your weekend with friends and family, got some needed rest and celebrated our amazing God! As we move into this week at work and continue to “rediscover Jesus” – let this question ponder… When is the last time you were awestruck by Jesus? Read Matthew 9: 1-7. Jesus forgive sins. Jesus brings order to all. Not only DID Jesus forgive sins with His authority (being God), He backed up his claim by making the lame man walk in Matthew 9. WHAT!  A lame man walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!  I can not put enough exclamation points. Can you…

  • 2019 to 2020!!!

How is it November already? After reading Lisa’s post on Monday it really did hit me! *7 weeks until Christmas!!! *My 2020 calendar came in the mail (yes, I’m old fashion!) *Already making holiday plans! What? Perhaps like me you are saying, “Wow, where did the time go?” Maybe you are also saying….”but I had so many good intentions this year!?” As we enter this Christmas season with a new heart and mindset, as we Rediscover Jesus, don’t wait for January 1st to start something new! Maybe today is the day to: *start your prayer journal? *spend less time on Netflix? *start going to church? “I press on to reach…

  • Rediscover Jesus

Good morning and Happy Monday! We have 7 weeks until Christmas! Wow – 2019 went by like a flash. As we lead up to the celebration of Jesus’ birth, each Monday’s writing will be honoring Jesus. Many of us may need a boost right now in our faith. It may be we are overwhelmed with busyness, have a sick relative, lost our job, our marriage is rocky at best or we are trying to get out of debt and save money to buy gifts for our children at Christmas. Whatever your struggle, we need a faith boost!! This weekend, Todd and I cleaned out our office and prayer room. We…
