  • Inner Circle

In my Bible reading this morning, I was reminded about the people closest to us determine our levels of success! Great reminder that the training we need as leaders can be learned daily from the Bible! #readit Moses learned this from God in the wilderness and implemented a plan to put competent, godly leaders next to him. His success in the wilderness depended on the leaders he picked. As a leader we must see value in others and focus on what we can get done for others, not merely what we can do for ourselves. #putothersfirst Here are a few ways to choose and develop leaders on your team and…

  • Arise & Shine

This morning my reading was Judges 19. It’s the story of a horrible crime committed against a woman because her husband lived in fear. The moral decay of Israel was rampant. Their country was far from God and the people were quiet until this tragedy occurred. And this stirred my heart. There is a parallel story here and we are living in it. I started thinking about revival and the need for eyes to be opened; a spiritual awakening. And the only way for a spiritual awakening is through a resurrection from spiritual death. In John 3 Jesus explains to Nicodemus that people can only enter God’s kingdom if they’ve…

  • But First, God.

How strong are you? Are you good at weathering storms and fighting life’s battles? Over and over again we learn in Judges that the Israelites would suffer and then after years and years of agony they would cry out to the Lord for rescue. And God would answer. How different their lives would have been if they stayed in constant contact with God. When struggles and battles come our way (and they will come!), God wants us to run to Him first. Don’t waste time struggling through situations all alone. This is not just a cliche statement or something to be taken lightly because it sounds good. There is true…

  • Revealing Your Character

How a leader deals with the circumstances of life tells you many things about their character. Adversity makes a person choose one of two paths: character or compromise. When we choose the path of character, we will grow stronger. Character is the foundation of how a leader builds their life! It all begins with character, because leadership operates on the basis of trust. Daniel 2:48 shows us what positive character looks like. His character resulted in responsibilities and gain. He received when he was trusted, compromise was not an option, and he was faithful to our God. Daniel had what it took when it came to character and lived a…

  • Refresh

If you are feeling tired or far away from God, try taking a spiritual holiday. Separate yourself from your daily routine and concentrate on renewing your commitment to God. It is simple but needed. Give yourself time to refresh your mind, body, and soul. If you can’t get away for a day, get up an hour early and be alone with God! This will refresh you and change your relationship with our Lord! #bible #quitetimeStay Rooted

  • MINIMIZE LEADERSHIP GAPS

Moses was told by God he would die and not lead his people into the Promise Land. Moses prayed and asked God to appoint a new leader. God appointed Joshua. Moses supported this God decision and trained up Joshua to take over his duties. Moses publicly supported Joshua to the tribes and said to the Israelites he had the authority to lead the nation. Moses endorsed Joshua – this is big! We can learn from Moses! He was so humble! God was the most important thing in his life and he put his pride aside. He was genuinely happy for Joshua. He helped develop this leader to take over. What…
