• Overcome then Become

“Mom, why I am going through this? Why is God letting this happen to me?” Almost 365 days ago we started on a journey with our daughter that I never one time anticipated. It began with complaints of joint pain. We chalked it up to growing pains and playing volleyball. The pain persisted. Since January we’ve seen multiple doctors and specialists complete with x-rays, MRI’s and more vials of blood than I can count. We finally found our way to Levine’s Children’s Hospital. It was September 5th and I could barely get her in and out of the car. Throughout the year I’ve been a cheerleader – encouraging her, praying…

  • Choose LOVE

Good morning! Christmas is in two days! Heather and I absolutely LOVE CHRISTMAS!! A lot of us will be super busy traveling, cooking, baking cookies, shopping, wrapping and spending time with family over the next few days. Heather and I both had a great reminder in our reading in Romans 13 this morning: “LOVE your neighbor as yourself!” When things get chaotic, crowds are overwhelming or that one family member annoys you – remember to LOVE. Paul says, “owe nothing to anyone – except for your obligation to LOVE one another” (Romans 13:9) THAT IS IT! LOVE I say daily… “Nobody owes me a thing!” There is a sticky note…

  • Goodness

The first time I read this in Romans I breezed right by it. But yesterday it jumped out in bold font! I spent years and years trying to be “good” – I truly thought if I don’t cuss, if I’m nice, if I volunteer, if I teach Sunday school, God will bless me and my family. But I was stumbling over the stone – every – single – time! God sent his son to save ALL people. Not just good people. God’s plan has always been for us to realize we will NEVER be good enough so we must constantly pray and depend on Him. #crazyfaith Big hugs and lots…

  • Miracles

What is a miracle? An extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs. Many witnessed miracles in the Gospels by Jesus. Turning water to wine and healing the sick are just two that WOW me to this day! I witnessed a MIRACLE this weekend! It was my husband Todd! My husband gave a talk about LOVE at the Warriors men’s conference at Pursuit Church. A little backstory about my hubby – he has a military Marine Corps background, is an Ironman and does not get all mushy and gushy about LOVE. Todd told part of his testimony, revealed sin to others, talked about forgiveness, cried, laughed and then the men…

  • Unconditional Love

Jesus came to this world to teach us how to love unconditionally! If you are a parent you know the depths of what that means. But what’s radical about the love of Jesus is that he loves ALL people. #yeshedoes Loving like Jesus means you desire everything good for the other person. As leaders in the workplace do you love like Jesus? Do you desire to see others grow and develop to their highest potential or are you scared someone may get a head of you? Jesus was constantly pouring himself out to others…leading, teaching, and loving. Even those that society had deemed unworthy. Oh how I love the story…

  • Judging

Judging: Monday Morning Question? How many times a day do you judge other people or yourself at work? I (Lisa) was challenged to write down every time I judged someone or myself at work last Tuesday! I wrote down “verbal” judging along with “in my mind” judging. Wow – is all I can say!! I had 9 things I wrote down in my notes app before lunch. This was a pretty eye opening exercise. #humbling We are NOT to judge others. To judge is GOD’s exclusive right only – Not ours! There are many types of judging, but today let’s look at labels. We put labels on people as our…

  • Memories

This popped up in my memories from 2 years ago!  This made me smile!!! This was the first DPS Sales Training our team facilitated at Morrisette. Becoming a Corporate trainer has changed my career path for the better and has filled my heart!

  • Plug in Your Suffering

Hi my friends, Lisa here! We are just over 3 weeks until Christmas! Yay!What a blessing to celebrate, freely, our LOVE for our Savior’s birth! During this time of year we may know someone or be someone who is suffering. Suffering comes in many shapes and sizes and wears many different masks. What is your suffering? Is it a sick parent, marriage problems, you are sick, a rebellious teenager, money problems or the loss of a loved one. Plug in your suffering. My heart aches when I know someone who is suffering. Mathew Kelly describes suffering as “one of the mysteries of the human experience. I don’t know why I…
