I WILL SURVIVE
Early in my career I purchased a journal and on the cover I wrote, ‘I WILL SURVIVE.’ I used this book to reflect each day on things I had said or done or questions that I may have had. By taking this time to reflect on my day, it allowed me to think through how to do things better and how to handle situations in the future.
My I WILL SURVIVE journals have now been replaced with my daily prayer journals. Inviting God to participate in your daily reflection time strengthens your relationship with Him and grows your resiliency (aka FAITH!). Before you read your Bible ask God to not only show you who HE is, but to also examine your own ways.
Becoming a resilient leader requires reflection. Becoming a resilient parent requires reflection. Becoming a resilient wife requires reflection. Trust God and be willing to change! Allow reflection through Christ to bring about the kind of behavior in your life that pleases Him! Grow your roots and be resilient!
