Shine Bright…

When going into work each day do you stop and do an attitude check at the door? Is it bright and shiny or dull and corrosive? So many people think of themselves only and not others within the workplace, this dulls our attitudes quickly. Literally…our attitude toward our coworkers can make or break an office atmosphere.

Pause for a moment…think about this…what if God was your coworker, how would His attitude be? I bet it would shine so bright and we all would want to learn and be around Him!! #Jesus

Here are some things to think about to enhance our attitudes so we can shine bright for our God and our coworkers:

– Our motives at work should be for God and flowing with love, putting Him first and “fearing” Him. Fear of the Lord means to have deep respect and reverential awe for Him – so it is a healthy fear.  What an honor to represent Him in the workforce, we need to learn His ways by reading the Bible.  “How joyful are those who fear the Lord – all who follow His ways.” Psalm 128:1

– All through the Bible it outlines God’s core values we should reflect: love, service, honesty, integrity, forgiveness, and peace.  These core values will not only ignite your attitude to shine at work but at home also!  What are your core values – yes write them down – do they reflect God’s?

– Being prideful is often a result of overvaluing self over others. Leave pride at the front door! We must learn to humbly put others first, value ALL people in our company, and follow God’s leading in our lives. Stay in your lane and stop striving for what others have, let comparison go.  Say this prayer each day before you enter your office… “Lord, my heart is not proud, my eyes are not haughty. I don’t concern myself with matters too great or too awesome for me to grasp.” Psalm 131:1

– Try to always keep the peace vs fighting. News flash…we don’t always need to be right!  We keep peace by keeping our faith in God not in the world. To find peace of mind with others first you must find peace of mind with God. The world does not provide peace – only God can – go to Him in prayer and ask Him for guidance to peace. “For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, ‘May you have peace.’”  Psalm 122:8

Daily life in the workplace can bring us lots of conflict and heartache but imagine if our daily attitude reflected the Word of God – we could ignite much needed change in our work world atmospheres! #goals

WE can be a light that brightens up a dark work world. Please don’t be dull!

What a privilege it is to shine. 🌟
