• Everything She Has…

As we recognize a woman each day this week; perhaps the boldest woman for God is actually one with no name. We read about her in Mark and Luke as Jesus was walking through the Temple in Jerusalem. He sat down near a collection box and observed the crowds dropping in their coins. As the crowd passes by on their busy way a widow steps up to the collection box. She quietly drops in two small coins. Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. For they gave a tiny part…

  • You Were Created to do Great Things – Through God’s Power

I can not imagine sitting in a room knowing that the answers to questions about my religion could mean death. Yet, Virginia Prodan faced her assassins on several occasions and prayed scripture over the men determined to kill her. Bold for God!!! They attacked her and threatened her life and the life of her children. Yet, she would not deny God or provide information that would put others at risk. Virginia tells her story of survival in Romania’s communist regime in her memoir Saving My Assassin. Determined to fight for those being persecuted for their Christian beliefs she in turn almost loses hers in the process. She chose to obey…

  • Priscilla & Aquila

Today we highlight Priscilla from the Bible. She is referenced in Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians and 2 Timothy. She was married to Aquila and really their names and story go hand in hand. This was an outstanding husband and wife team who ministered in the early church. Their livelihood came from tent making while serving Christ. After being deported from Rome, they meet Paul in Corinth. They invited Paul to live with them. Priscilla and Aquila taught Paul how to tent-make and he taught them even more about Jesus Christ! Paul loved this couple dearly, he called them “co-workers in the ministry of Christ Jesus.” Priscilla and Aquila are known…

  • THE MIDBAR

“God speaks, but we don’t hear. We have too many distractions. But in the wilderness the distractions are gone. So God brings us to the wilderness that we might hear His voice. Therefore, do not fear or despise the wilderness of your life, and don’t despise His removing of the distractions. Rather embrace it. Draw closer to Him. And listen to what He is saying. Seek to hear His voice, and you will hear Him. For the wilderness in your life is not just a wilderness. It is holy ground…the midbar…the place of His voice.” Johnathan Cahn The Book of Mysteries #rooted #listentohisvoice

  • Heart, Soul & Strength

As you read the Bible it is amazing to learn how the New Testament is connected to the Old Testament. This is a great example! As Moses addressed the second generation he was very clear in his teaching to listen and obey the commands had given them. “Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5 Over and over again this message is repeated. And then we have the first & greatest commandment of all written in Matthew 22:37-39; which is to also love God with ALL…

  • Wherever You Go

2020 certainly brought challenges and in our case it also brought new positions within our companies. Yes, during a pandemic (which is a testimony for another day). Whenever we start something new it can be exciting and a little terrifying at the same time. But with these new opportunities comes the perfect time for us to stand firm in our faith and believe the promises God made to us. We know from the Bible that we have the words of God telling us to trust in Him, have no fear, be strong and to be courageous. God is with you when you are faced with new challenges. Maybe it’s a…

  • Unknown Future – Known God

This month is International Women’s Month – Heather and I wanted to honor women this week from all over the world that honor our God! We hope our posts will inspire you to be bold for God. These women are from the past but are so relevant to our today faith journey!! Today we highlight Corrie ten Boom. The quote below touches our hearts knowing what she faced by the Nazi’s in a concentration camp. She trusted our God and helped the Jews. She took action and did God’s will and yes she still encountered suffering in her obedience. But oh how we can learn from her obedience and story!…

  • #GOD

In the Old Testament God was very clear about His decrees, regulations, and instructions on how to obey Him. He gave these to the people through Moses as evidence of the relationship between Him and the Israelites. When the people of Israel disobeyed, God punished them. When they obeyed there would be peace and when they disobeyed disaster would follow. It seemed pretty simple and clear in Leviticus 26, if you sinned He would punish and often by sending calamity. God still would give them a chance to repent and return to Him, He was so patient and still is! He did not give up on His people even when…
