Last Day of 2021

Today is the last day of 2021. As the year comes to an end I’ve recently heard these words describe the last 365 days:

Chaotic

Stressful

Lonely

Exhausting

Challenging

Hard

There have certainly been days for all of us where these words probably came to mind. But tomorrow is a new day AND a new year. A time to look at what is to come and not of days past.

“Now I stand on solid ground, and I will publicly praise the Lord.”  (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭26:12‬). Regardless of what lies ahead of us we know as daughters of Christ that our steps will be steady.  God is our solid ground. Whether we are stepping through a valley or on a climb up the steep side of a mountain; our footing is sure.  We have no fear of stumbling.

Our circumstances are sure to change. Trials will continue to come our way. We have no way to predict the future. But we’ve put our trust in Jesus Christ and He never changes, He is steadfast. Amen!!! And because we know our steps are steady and the ground ahead is solid ground despite the journey; let’s change the words in 2022. Let’s declare 2022 a year where we publicly praise the Lord with these words:

Rescued

Confident

Thankful

Blessed

Loved

Redeemed

Strong

Peace
