Idols…
Don’t trust man made things trying to predict your future, like horoscopes. Before I surrendered my life to God seven years ago, I read them everyday, hoping for a glimpse of goodness for my good day. What a foolish way to live.
We as Christian must put our trust in God and God alone. In His Word! He will guide us through each day and unfold our future as He walks with us through His Holy Spirit inside of us!! This is a big deal you all!! Our God is great and full of power – there is no one like our God!!
Anything we put above or before God and trust more than Him is an idol. We all have them unfortunately…what are your idols?
“Do not act like the other nations, who try to read their future in the stars.”
Jeremiah 10:2
Taught so greatly in my NLT Application Teaching Bible on Jeremiah 10:2 I wanted to share… “No one will discover the future in man-made charts of God’s stars. But God, who promises to guide you, knows your future and will be with you all the way. Don’t trust the stars; trust the One who made the stars.”
We all have idols, it’s time to recognize them and turn to God to let them go. Nothing can substitute our almighty God- nothing.
