Heart Problem = Pride Problem

Scripture:

“Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.” Proverbs 16:5

If you are reading this and you think you don’t have a pride problem, you probably do. We can try to hide pride physically from God but if it is in our hearts – God knows.  He knows everything and He detests pride.

When we reject God, resist His leadership, look down on others and always want to do it “our”way – this is pride  – pride is controlling you.

The heart is the primary seat of pride.  When you have a heart problem you have a pride problem. The proud may have many friends, connections, and a powerful family – this does not matter – the proud will not escape God’s punishment.  He has final judgement.

Pray and ask God to examine your heart and thoughts. Ask for help to get right with God and He will respond. He will lead you to wisdom, but we have to take God’s advice through his Word, our Church, our Pastor, and other Christians.  Through humility let Him guide you – change will happen.

Worldly satisfaction is so temporary! When we follow God and His ways – this leads to everlasting joy and brings Him honor.

Know what pride is and go to God!  Please hurry, life is short.
