Give Thanks

“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Eph 5:20

Let’s focus on the word “everything!”

Well I don’t know about you, but not everyday and everything turns out to be “the best day ever” types of days.  What I mean is some days I just feel down, or I am in the middle of a storm, or I have been drained of every ounce of energy and want to collapse and maybe even find a place to hide.  On these days we are to give thanks to God  for “everything?”

Yes – The scripture above says give thanks for EVERYTHING! 

We will have these types of days at home, at work, and even at church. So on these difficult days I turn to the following scripture and pray it for comfort because our God is good.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28

There is that word again – “everything.” He uses everything! If it is written in our Bibles, we must trust it. We also must love Him deeply and keep pressing forward.

Thank God today, not for your problems but for the strength He is building in you through the difficult experiences of your life.

We all can be sure that God’s perfect love will see us through.
