Fear Not…
I am eight weeks out from the BIG presentation and a bit overwhelmed with the “task” at hand. Sprinkle in a little fear and it can start to take over everything. The type of fear that wakes me up at 3:30am and your mind starts going 100 miles an hour. Or when I just wish there could be a few more hours in the day to keep working because you just can’t get it all done.
I’m not sure what your “task” is, but we all have them and they can over take us – both physically and mentally – if we are not aware!
Today let me encourage you that there is ONE thing that keeps me “aware” each day in the chaos of preparing for a “task”…and that is God’s Word! I do read the Bible every morning, there is no compromise – it happens and it fills me!! This new habit started about 7 years ago – I call it my holy habit! It has been life changing and the Holy Spirit through God’s Word has transformed my core personal values to what they are today. #faithfirst
I have rounded the corner of my eight week prep and now it is time to present! Thankfully I read the below verses in my everyday reading. God’s LIVING Word gave me just what I needed for this week!! So grateful!!
Isaiah 41:9-10
“I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
These few verses out of Isaiah 41 have been with me OFTEN over the last 7 years – both during the ups and downs, the joys and frustrations. We need all types of experiences in life to have spiritual growth in our faith. When we have joy we should thank God and when we have times of frustration we should be willing to learn from them.
We are chosen, we are valued, He will protect us, strengthens us, and help us!! With God we can and will accomplish the “task” at hand!
I truly believe God has His HAND on all His believers. We need to trust in His promises!! How kind of Him to remind me. #livingword
Please start a “holy habit” of learning God’s PROMISES through His Word! God delivers! When He makes a promise, He keeps it. He is completely trustworthy!! We never have to be uncertain because we have a God of truth and righteousness.
FEAR NOT my friends, God has got our backs!
Stay Rooted,
Lisa and Heather
