Atmosphere of Love
When we see heart shapes we often think of love! I know when Heather and I create our graphics we often add hearts when relating to love. Love is something that is a feel good word, we want to be loved and we love to be around family and friends who love us!
Reality check…for us working women, a majority of our time each day is spent at work and around co-workers and clients! As we go to work each day, do we have love in mind? How much do we love what we do, do we love our co-workers, do we create a loving atmosphere?
As Christian women working in the secular world, we have to know the TRUTH! God is love!!! We are children of God. The Father in heaven loves us all so very much. He loves us for who we are not for what we have done! He gave us His one and only Son, has forgiven our sins from the past, present and future and loves us so deeply it is hard for us to grasp this TRUTH fully at times. (Think of how much you love your children and that is how much God loves us plus more!)
“We know how much God loves us and we put our trust in His love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.”
1 John 4:16
We are God’s children now and our self worth needs to be based on the fact that God loves us – period! Think about it, He gave us His son! That is love!! We are members of God’s family, what a blessing!! Knowing we are his children should encourage us to love and live as Jesus did, His very own son He gave to us! As children of God we must become a reflection of His son even at work!
“Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but He has not shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:2-3
The Christian life is a process of becoming more and more like Christ. To keep pure means to keep morally straight and free from corruption of sin and this can be challenging in the workplace at times, but it is a must!
When we meet Jesus face to face our Christian journey will then be complete. But until then, we must learn the ways of our Jesus, stay pure, and love like crazy!
Today… enter your work environment with an attitude of love! Watch the atmosphere start to change and shape around what you flow. Without love, gratitude, and acceptance of your coworkers, how will you be able to effect change and really love what you spend most of your time doing…working!!
Love is a choice. God gives us free will to love or not to love. To accept Him or not. To love like Him or not too. The coolest thing of all, is God loves us through all of this because He loves who WE are not what we do! This is PERFECT love!! It’s not about performance and how good we are, it’s about our hearts, it’s all about love!! He loves me!!
“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows we have not fully experienced His perfect love. We love each other because He loved us first.” 1 John 4:18-19
