DON’T GO IT ALONE!

Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes that “two are better than one.” God did not intend us to be alone. “For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!” Resilience is also grown by surrounding ourselves with other Christian women. Seek to develop close friendships with women who will pray for you, that you can laugh with and that will support you during trying times. I can tell you there is nothing more powerful than a genuine friend that prays for you and supports you! The story of Moses, Aaron and Hur touches my heart. I can see it so vividly in my mind. “As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset. As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle.” (Exodus 17:11-13)Even though Moses is one of the greatest leaders in the Bible he still needed his faithful friends to support him. Aaron and Hur stood by his side and held up his arms to ensure victory. God placed them there. Be a rooted woman who can hold up the hands of another woman! Encourage each other, pray for each other and be resilient together in Christ! #rootedinfaith#beresilienttogether#leadershipnovember
