Be Peculiar

Does someone at work think you are peculiar in your faith?  Peculiar is described as odd, unusual or special!

At work, this has been real for me as a newer Christian on fire for Jesus!  

But, to be known as peculiar is the only way I want to be described when it comes to my faith and Jesus!!!!

When I leave church on Sunday my faith goes with me throughout the week – everywhere – even to work!!

John the Baptist was peculiar to say the least!  He is also described as unique in the teaching part of my Bible. He dressed strange, ate bugs and lived in the wilderness.  But in his uniqueness, he was obedient. His main role was to announce the coming of the Savior. This was his purpose and he fulfilled it!

As we walk in our faith at work let’s look at what John the Baptist experienced in his work life : God does not guarantee an easy or safe life to those who serve Him. Doing what God desires is the greatest possible life investment. Standing for truth is more important than life itself!

God has given each one of us a purpose for living, and we can TRUST Him to guide us.  We have Bibles my friends!! John had the OT scriptures and was still obedient for Christ. We in 2019 know the Good News and the Truth about our Savior!!

Get in your Bibles and learn the Truth of God’s Word.  We need to be obedient in our learning. God wants us to know these Truths and as they begin to work in us… people will be drawn to us!  God can use us in so many ways – even at work!

But…..

Action is required!! Let Jesus know your willingness to follow Him today!
