Distraction
Are you distracted from God because of worry?! Philippians 4 verses 6, 7, and 8 are my go to scripture when the “worries” start flooding in my mind and I get distracted from God. Paul writes so clearly God’s promise for peace: “Don’t worry about anything, instead PRAY about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we will understand. Face The Thing You Fear
“Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple of the Lord is finished correctly.” 1 Chronicles 28:20 It’s Monday and a new work week! ARE YOU LIKE MARY OR MARTHA?
One thing I love about the book of Luke is that it contains stories of Jesus that are not in any other of the gospels. One of those stories is when Jesus visited Martha and her sister Mary. Do you ever think about who you identify with the most? Are you more like Mary or Martha? Martha believed who Jesus was and had growing faith. She also had a strong desire to do everything right!
