Prayer is Important

Prayer is important and will change your life forever!

Here is what prayer means to some of you:

Terri Broome: “My connection to God.” ❤️

Lisa Robinette : “My lifeline to God.”

Deborah Chapman : “Our small group started Armor of God last night. My lifeline (prayer) is going to start each morning by putting on the full armor of God and swaying the balance to victory through prayer.”

Angie Creech Green : “Strength and direction!”

Allison Denise Pelphrey : “It’s a gift to be able to speak to my Father anytime and all the time. Prayer opens the portals to heaven. God sees, hears and responds to me as I reach out to Him and dwell in his Spirit.” 💞

Heather Callahan : “Love this! Prayer gets me through my day.” 🙌🏻

Thank you ladies for dropping comments this week on prayer, we all learn from each other and we love you dearly. ❤️

Prayer to me is time alone to talk with God. This is where intimacy and a personal relationship is created with God.

So many of us say, I will pray for you. Do we stop what we are doing and pray right on the spot? Is your morning time spent reading His Word and then talking to Him – like really talking to Him? Should I pray before I get out of bed or is anytime during the day okay? Do I need a prayer list? When I pray do I ask for things I need or ask for His will to be done or both? HELP!

These are all questions I have asked myself when it comes to prayer. I don’t think there is a right or wrong way to pray, we just need to do it! As a Christian woman rooted in my faith I encourage you to take everything to God each day and patiently wait for Him to answer. How you do that is up to you, but just do it!

Pastor Jordan preached in November of 2019 about prior prayer – “to always pray prior for a situation or someone before reacting and to not do anything that God did not lift us to do. Prayer through faith becomes a partnership with God.” JG

We must practice prior prayer and then wait on God, our partner.

How do we know when He answers and what He wants us to do?

There are many ways!! We must be reading the Bible everyday – this is His Living Word! God speaks to us through the Word! Attend church and listen to your Pastor, God will work through people! God can answer you through your trusted Christian friends and God many times will show Himself through circumstances.

Rooted urges you to start today to discover what it means to pray and build an intimate personal relationship with our God.

Imagine if we could let the CONTROL go and really learn to experience God. 🙌🏻

Prayer is important and will change your life forever.
