Personal Development Plan
Personal Growth Plan – Just do it! No matter what job we have or what relationship we are in, we can always improve! Change will happen everyday no matter what, but growth will only happen intentionally and with a plan. Do you know that person who has influence in and on your life? The one you want to follow, ask for advice, and be around. I bet if you dig deep into their personal life – they are intentionally learning, developing, and committed to growth in several different area. Because of their intentional growth they develop influence and you want to be around them. #leaders Highly successful people have a thirst for knowledge. They read, they ask questions, and they commit to growth. When we do not learn and grow it is really hard to lead and influence people, professionally or personally. How do we give to others what we don’t have? A growth plan is not automatic, it must be intentional. Developing a plan and sticking to it will change your life!! But it is personal, meaning… only YOU can do it. You have to want to do it, not just talk about it – put it into action. “I don’t have time” is the biggest excuse people give when it comes to growth: – I don’t have time to exercise. – I don’t have time to date my husband. – I don’t have time to read my Bible. – I don’t have time to develop my team. – I don’t have time to read with my kids. We all have the same 24 hours in a day! Not having time is an excuse! Start with saying to yourself every morning before getting out of bed “just do it” about 50 times on the thing you don’t have time to do. Do this everyday until you commit to do that thing. Get the right attitude and mindset and “just do it.” Stop saying “I don’t have time” and start committing to intentional growth. We must TAKE the time within the day! Personally, I have been reading the Bible for over 4 years now. I made a commitment to get up an hour early everyday and read. This was intentional growth and has grown me as a Christian, wife, mother, leader & friend. Is it hard some days, YES! Am I tired some days, YES! But…I do it anyway! I committed to read and because of this I have grown in Biblical knowledge and understanding. To have success and growth in an area of life is not a mystery – we have to have a personal growth plan! Receiving more knowledge and understanding in an area of life is tangible and achievable to everyone reading this blog. Create a plan, commit to it with the right attitude and mindset, and just do it!
