Peace Can Be Yours
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
Turkey Day is tomorrow! Yay!! I am excited!! It is a day to gather families, uphold traditions, love your families, and truly over eat! Lol
It is a day for our families to say what they are thankful for as you go around the dinner table. This is a moment every momma cherishes and we have the perfect idea of how it all should go.
Then reality hits!! If you have large amounts of family gatherings you know it can be…very chaotic, kids running around, the dog trying to get food from kids, someone having too much “adult cider”, worrying the timing of the food prevails, oh yeah…and don’t burn the rolls! The biggest worry is that everyone gets along! (Lol even louder) #family
Well…this scripture hit me hard today. It is all about peace. Peace in our hearts and minds as we live for Jesus!! We all search and search for peace in the world (or the perfect Thanksgiving gathering) vs in our God through prayer.
God’s promise above says to stop worrying, go to Him in prayer, ask for what we need and then thank Him for everything…then we will have peace. #itiswritten
You all… this should get us excited!! We will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. We need to trust Him and His Word!
So…if your life is far from peaceful and you worry all the time, STOP and try the following tomorrow when worry sets in… Pray Philippians verses 6 & 7. Write the verses down on a recipe card and put it on the counter as you make your dishes to serve your family. Embrace the day and turn to this prayer as needed.
Not sure about you, but I needed this reminder, so hope it helps you as you move into Thanksgiving tomorrow. Peace can be yours in both our hearts and minds because of Jesus.
I am eternally thankful for PEACE and our God.
Enjoy your families.
Happy Prepping Day,
Lisa & Heather
