Obey…God Knows All
Are we really being obedient to God? Think about it…is it lip service or a genuine giving up of our “self” when we serve and obey God? When our service to God is done only for our own self interest or to be seen…God knows.
We can be “actively” serving God but not have our hearts given over to Him. It is all about what’s going on inside of us! Ask Him to search your heart daily, we can’t hide from Him who knows and sees All. Serving half heartedly as a Christian will NOT allow us to receive the full benefit of God’s plans for us. We are to receive and obey God’s Will for our lives fully – be ALL in!
As we grow in our faith as Christians who have accepted Jesus and have a direct relationship with God we will talk with more and more Christians. In my experience, many Christians hold and express differing views on religious traditions or rules within the church they attend. When this happens… we should listen to what they say but do not accept their beliefs and practices that would lead us AWAY from God’s way.
“As for God, His way is blameless;
The word of the Lord is tried;
He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.” Psalms 18:13
God’s way is given to us all through the Bible, if what you are told by others about the Christian faith is not Biblical (not in the Bible), stop and take it to God! He will guide you to His Truth through His living Word! Don’t fold to man made rules made up by a church or a church leader that go against God’s way. God’s way is the only way – be obedient to His Word – ALL of it. #readyourBible
Obey and become selfless on the inside for our God. We may fool people with our “good actions” but we can’t fool God with what’s in our heart…God knows.
To finish up this blog about obedience, I had to end with this Bible verse.
“I have hidden Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.“
Psalm 119:11
This verse reminds me to keep reading His Word and it will be stored in my heart. Day after day the Word of God is absorbed within me to guide me especially away from sin – how incredible! You can have this too!!
Start today, read the Bible for 5 minutes a day and be consistent and persistent. This little act of daily obedience will lead to BIG faith outcomes! You will create a habit that will allow you to crave the Word, learn the Word, and desire to obey the Word…God knows. #readyourBible #obeyGodonly #Jesus
