Genuine Wisdom
Think of someone who seems so wise…how do they act? There are two types of wisdom per James, worldly wisdom and God’s wisdom, which is the genuine wisdom we all need to reflect in our lives.
This person you brought to mind would you agree their wisdom usually can be measured by their character? God’s character must reflect in our character. We can recognize a tree but the fruit it produces, you can also recognize genuine wisdom by the way one acts.
James makes it clear that if you are jealous or have selfish ambition in your heart, if you boast or lie to cover it up, this is not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthy, unspiritual and demonic. (James 3:15) We must be humble and follow God’s ways – God’s character – God’s genuine wisdom.
“But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at ALL times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.” James 3:17
When we are foolish in our behavior and living and acting upon the wisdom of the world, it will lead to disorder in our lives. Godly wisdom will lead to peace and goodness. We all desire peace and goodness.
Seeking God’s wisdom and ways will deliver us from the need to compare ourselves to others and what they have. Submit to our God and get in prayer and ask for His wisdom when your life gets rocked and disorder is present.
We need to trust God will give us what we really need and that WE ultimately do His will on earth as it is in Heaven. (Matthew 6:10)
He has a plan for each and everyone of us!!
Always give a kind word and treat people with love that lead with wisdom from the world. This is not always easy but the right thing to do! The Golden Rule applies to all people, Jesus loves ALL and He was gentle and compassionate even to the foolish. He treated them how He wanted to be treated. #goldenrule
Get to know God deeper by learning His character through reading the Bible. Be a peacemaker and if we ask God for His wisdom from above, He will give it to us! (James 1:5)
It is written!!!
We love you all!
