Are You Alert?

No one should want to sin knowing how much God dislikes it and can separate us from Him.  God knows all and sees all, He does not ignore it when we sin, it does matter to Him.

“The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem to buy back those in Israel who have turned from their sins.” says the Lord. Isaiah 59:20

When we willfully sin and have a persistent rebellious heart we must turn to God. I read the following today, “sin fills the vacuum left when God’s truth no longer fills our life.  Only God can defeat sin.” NLT Application teaching Bible Isaiah

Sin separates us from God and at times fills us with worldly pleasure. Even the smallest of sins, you know… the white lies or the small factual gossip to a good friend. Sin is sin…we need to be alert to our actions, stop justifying them, and ask God to forgive us when we do sin.

Seems pretty simple as a Christian who has the Holy Spirit dwelling within, our desires will start to change for His ways and we will recognize sin – thank you Jesus   But…repenting can be difficult if we don’t know God’s truth and His ways. He is the Holiest of Holy with a character reflected in His son Jesus. So…as responsible Christians – we must become informed, read His Word, be teachable, learn what sin is, and when you do sin…then learn from it, turn to our God, and ask for forgiveness.  Change can start to transform in us when we give ourselves to the Father, He rids us of sin. #surrender

Such a great reminder for me not to get complacent with the small sins, they matter to God also!  It is God’s will not my will! God’s way not my way! Only God can forgive us and wipe us clean.

Make your life stand out for God not for man, sin is of the earth. We are children of God who desire to do His will and desire to live a life to glorify Him.

Ah ha moment…I believe God loves us all so much if we sin or don’t – He is our Father, our God!! Wanted to make sure we all know this, He loves us even when we sin!! We all will sin, we are not perfect and God does not hold back His love to His children but rather wants the best for each of us!! #unconditionallove

Would like to leave you with this final thought…what if we completely desired daily to honor Him and lift Him up by following His ways which would keep us more ALERT when temptation comes our way? #honorourGod
