Teaching Tuesday with Rooted:

Good morning. Lisa here and I have just started the book of Revelation!  This  will be my second time reading through the entire Bible. My pace is slow, but it literally feeds me each day to go out into this world.

I read from an Application teaching bible and it gives a blueprint, megathemes and vital statistics about each book before you read it. I look at is a summary of what you are going to dive into – it sets the scene and gets your mind into that time.

My biggest takeaway as I dive into Revelation is God’s sovereignty and Christ’s return!  John wrote to encourage the people to stay faithful, resist temptation, judgment is going to happen to those who don’t believe in Christ, and Christians need to keep hope alive!

We must keep hope in Christ and have confidence in our final destination with Christ. Christ will return and all believers will live with Him forever in perfect peace and security.  Those who have already died will be raised to life.

These promises for the future bring us hope and encourage us that Christ will return.

I am so excited to dig deep into Revelation and be awed along with John as God’s amazing plan is revealed.
