Our God is Knowable!

God is knowable and wants to be known – but WE have to WANT to know Him.

So often people complain that life just gets in the way of building a relationship with God. How tempted are we to look everywhere else for guidance and leadership vs looking to God?

The culture of many Americans’ routine is to wake up, get our coffee, and turn on the news. We immediately fill our minds and hearts with the latest robbery, murder, or politics going on for that day. #garbage

You want to start to know God on an intimate level…Stop watching the news! Five years ago my husband and I decided to stop turning on the TV garbage in the morning and evening – what a blessing!!

Now when we awake everyday, we seek God first thing! We get our coffee and get in our Bibles and read. We give the time we used to give to the TV garbage now to our God!

We have been told by many that we live with our heads in the sand because we do not know what the “NEWS” people communicate. This makes us laugh!

Trust me…if there is something going on in little ole Denver, NC that would truly effect our lives, we do eventually find out about it. We have survived on this earth without watching the news for 5 years!! #turnitoff

Hebrews 11:6 is a great scripture to lean on to start seeking God. Study this scripture and marinate on it:

“Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.”

So stop the excuses of wanting to have God in your life but you are to ____________ (you fill in the blank!)

Our God is the God of heaven and earth and there is no other God!! Worship only Him through His son Jesus Christ. He is our first authority and we should recognize Him above all other things on this earth – including the news media and politics. #stopyouridols

Stay Rooted my friends and really SEEK after God to get to know Him!
