• Boast for the Lord – ONLY!!

A relationship with Jesus will change your life. It is how we get directly to God. It’s how we learn to love and live in this worldly world. I’m gonna boast about Jesus today in this blog!! I (Lisa) committed my life to Christ back in July of 2016. Walking the path of living for Jesus can be difficult at times as sin from your past arises and you must confess it and ask for forgiveness. But it is a path worth walking daily and the fact we are able to go directly to God and repent, thank you Jesus!  Freedom is found in Jesus. My life has transformed because…

  • Be Someone’s Thank You

“I can’t remember the last time anyone said thank you.” Hearing someone speak these words broke my heart. So many people have worked tirelessly through this pandemic with longer hours, less people, and often less pay. And yet they keep going. Even without hearing these two simple words: thank you. I thought about this for days as I reflected on my own family, my own inner circle of friends, my coworkers, my team. Have I been so absorbed in my own craziness these last two months that I lost focus? Am I saying thank you enough? Am I genuinely seeing what is happening around me and acknowledging the contribution so…

  • Be Still

Being still means being willing to wait. Waiting is not my motto, but I am learning patience from the Lord!! #waitonGod When things change instantly in your life and cause disruption, follow scripture and be still.  Continue to wait patiently on God for guidance and be willing to give yourselves over to God for Him to work on His perfect plan. Will it be easy? Does it all make sense? No and No. But while you are waiting you can spend time in His presence learning more about Him.  Thank you Jesus! What an honor and privilege to be immersed in the Word day after day and truly learning His…

  • Callous to Sin

In 2 Samuel David is King, a man after God’s own heart, and is dealing with many struggles. The struggles are in his personal life but struggles in our personal life will reflect into our professional life. What we do at home will reflect what we do at work. David is tempted by a beautiful woman named Bathsheba. He sees her bathing from his rooftop and calls for her. He then sleeps with her and she becomes pregnant. He was tempted and he acted on his temptation to be with this married woman while her husband was at war for his King. Then his struggle of sin continues as he…

  • The Solid Rock I’ll Stand

Have you ever had a song pop in your head and you just can’t shake it off? Last week the lyrics from an old church hymn that I haven’t heard in decades just started playing in my head. “On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand All other ground is sinking ground, All other ground is sinking ground.” Christ is our solid Rock. What does this mean? David said it beautifully: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.” Psalm 18:2 It means God is…

  • Accept

For so many, life is about making plans, executing the plans, and achieving success! Ambition is something man has and we get excited to do good and achieve our plans! King David was so excited to build a Temple for the Lord and get the Ark of God out from under the tent.  He had great ambition and had a plan to honor God. Oh but our God… He had other plans on who would build His Temple, it would be David’s son Solomon not David. Have you ever made that plan to do something good for God for it to not happen?  Sometimes God says no to our plans…

  • Give Thanks

“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Eph 5:20 Let’s focus on the word “everything!” Well I don’t know about you, but not everyday and everything turns out to be “the best day ever” types of days.  What I mean is some days I just feel down, or I am in the middle of a storm, or I have been drained of every ounce of energy and want to collapse and maybe even find a place to hide.  On these days we are to give thanks to God  for “everything?” Yes – The scripture above says give thanks for EVERYTHING! …
