• People Over Profit

Good morning!! Big shout out to…. Chick-fil-A Denver (NC) this morning. Yesterday at Pursuit Church – our friend and owner Shannon Munze Holland of the Chick Fil A in Denver told Heather and I she uses our Rooted posts each morning to inspire her team! This is an example of a leader who is concerned for her people! Christians that lead must not forget about the spiritual condition of those being led. Heather and I trust God will use His Word to touch who He wants. We just have to stay faithful to what He put on our hearts and keep sharing it! Thank you Shannon for inspiring us, God’s…

  • Biggest Mission Field

Each and every Working Woman Rooted in Faith is serving in the biggest mission field each and every day. You may not think of yourself as a missionary but that’s exactly what you are! Welcome to the team! All companies, departments, teams and individuals are measured on their performance. For some it’s revenue, production units, satisfied customers, student grades, hours, miles….the list goes on. I work in a manufacturing environment so each hour we are reviewing key metrics that tell us how we are performing. Visual results drive performance. We want to win! But working in the mission field doesn’t equate to results that we can easily see on charts…

  • Who’s Watching?

No pressure right? This verse will really stop you in your tracks and make you reflect. Are my words and actions representing God? The workplace is our mission field & we represent the body of believers. We are ministers of God!! And eyes are watching. Throughout the course of the day, unbelievers are observing you. What do they see? Being a workplace missionary requires discipline and self awareness. Work in such a way that draws people closer to….and not away from…..God. 2 Corinthians 6:3: “We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. In everything we…

  • Life of Faithfulness – Part 3

We know that we can’t live a perfect life free of sin. Only Jesus was perfect. But, we can try to shadow the life of Jesus in our walk. We must read and study the Gospels to know how to shadow the Lord! Living faithful on earth does require mercy from our God. Mercy is defined as “not giving a person what he or she deserves.” Our God is so merciful…our disobedience to God does deserve judgement. But God does show “mercy” to us by providing an escape from sins penalty through Jesus Christ – who alone saves us from sin!! Think about this… when we pray to God for…

  • Life of Faithfulness – Part 2

What else needs to happen as a Christian to live a life of faithfulness? Heather and I have faith in ONE true God and know it is a LONG term journey. The Israelites would turn away from Our God and wanted instant gratification with short term benefits. To get this instant gratification – they worshiped other gods and idols. They wanted to live a life of selfishness and pleasure. They would do whatever they wanted (sinning rapidly) and felt they were okay because at least they were obeying one of the other gods. This hurt Our God so deeply. We do this everyday with our current 2021 “other gods and…

  • Life of Faithfulness – Part 1

The book of Judges shows us we all want to sin and many of us move forward in sinning, even when we know better. Living around sin and not completely removing evil sin from our lives usually means disaster will follow. In Judges, Joshua dies and the Israelites rapidly decline in following after God and His ways. They turn away from the Lord and follow other religions, worship other idols, and gods. This angered our God greatly! When we have sin in our lives we can expect suffering to follow. Sin always has consequences. The Israelites repeat the sin cycle over and over again and suffering always follows. Many modern…
